Yanmar SV Series (Short Tail Swing)

Yanmar Company has a long history of supplying quality products.  Yanmar as a company was formed in 1912 and has specialized and excelled in the production of Diesel engines since then.  In 1967 Yanmar entered the construction machinery business with the introduction of the HD5 walk behind dozer.  In 1968, Yanmar developed the world's first Mini-Excavator the YB600C.  In 1975 the YB1200 with a sliding boom mount was introduced.  With the sliding boom, it could dig very close to walls.  In 1979, Yanmar introduced the YB400 with another innovation; the world's first Rubber Tracked Mini-Excavator.  Yanmar's innovation didn't stop there.  In 1993, we introduced the world's first "Zero Tail Swing" excavator with the VIO series.  With Zero Tail Swing, the house does not extend over the tracks which helps prevent a lot of damage to the machine and structures in the construction area.  We are currently on our 5th generation of Zero Tail Swing Mini-Excavators.
